The goal of the first day of this tour in Egypt and the Red Sea is simply to arrive smoothly and acclimate to the country. Our agency will assist you from the moment you land at Cairo International Airport. A Spanish-speaking member of our staff will welcome you in the terminal and assist you with visa procedures. Then, you will be transferred to our comfortable private vehicle with air conditioning, where our driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel located in downtown Cairo.
Once at the hotel, you will proceed with the usual check-in process to settle into your rooms. Additionally, our representative will provide you with all the necessary information, answering any questions you may have about this Egypt tour. “Is everything included in the Red Sea?” “What about the cruise?” “What are the planned excursions?” These are some of the questions we address on this page, but you can delve deeper into them during the briefing.
Breakfast is included in the package, as it is on the other days of the tour, and will be served at the hotel. After breakfast, our driver will be waiting at the door to begin the guided tour of the Giza Necropolis, an archaeological site located approximately 10 km from downtown Cairo.
The Giza Necropolis is primarily known for the Pyramids of Khufu (or Cheops), Khafre (or Chephren), and Menkaure. The largest pyramid is the first one, while the third pyramid is the smallest. They were built by the pharaohs of the 4th Dynasty around 2,500 BC as highly secure burial places to preserve their mummies and ensure eternal life in the afterlife. You will have the opportunity to visit the interior of each pyramid, which is included in the program.
In this royal necropolis, one of several that existed in the city of Memphis during the Old Kingdom, there are other impressive monuments. Especially noteworthy is the Great Sphinx of Giza, which may represent the pharaoh Khafre. Its immense figure, half-lion and half-human, protects the complex and poses for your camera, creating a lifelong memory. In addition to the pyramids and the Great Sphinx, our guide will show you other areas of the site, such as the Valley Temple.
This visit is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the program, as these monuments are likely the most famous in the world. They were already renowned in ancient times, with the Pyramid of Khufu considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Today, the entire complex is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Lunch is included on this day and will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will return to Cairo, where you will once again spend the night at the hotel.
The third day is dedicated entirely to Cairo and will likely be the busiest of this tour in Egypt and the Red Sea. While in the Red Sea, you will enjoy the beach, and during the Nile cruise, you will have a relaxing journey. However, in the capital city, you will experience the frenetic pace of this megalopolis with over 10 million people. Nevertheless, it will be worth it as the city’s urban area boasts significant tourist attractions that are essential for any trip.
We will set out to discover these attractions after breakfast at the hotel. The first stop will be the Egyptian Museum, which houses the finest collection of artifacts from the Pharaonic era. Its halls are filled with royal mummies, intricately decorated sarcophagi, diverse funerary goods, and sculptures that showcase the exceptional artistic quality achieved by the civilization. Our official guide will select and explain the highlights of the museum.
Our guide will also accompany you on a tour of Old Cairo, an area classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Islamic Quarter, which emerged after the Arab conquest in the 7th century, is home to impressive buildings and authentic corners. For example, the Saladin Citadel (12th century) and the Alabaster Mosque inside it (19th century). Or the famous Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of the largest, most renowned, and authentic markets in the Middle East.
The Coptic Quarter also houses significant places as it is believed to have provided shelter to the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and the infant Jesus during their Flight to Egypt. These sites are now revered as sacred, such as the Cave Church in the Monastery of Saint Simon or the Church of St. George. The Hanging Church, located near the Babylon Fortress, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue are other sites worth discovering to understand the different religious sentiments that exist in the capital beyond the majority Muslim faith.
In such a full day, a meal at a local restaurant is a must, and our agency will make the necessary reservations, which are included in the package. For accommodation, you will return to the hotel in Cairo where you are staying.
On the fourth day of the tour, we will leave behind the bustling capital and its surroundings to travel to the distant south. After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up for the transfer to the airport in our private vehicle. From there, you will take a flight that will transport you to Aswan in about an hour and a half.
At Aswan Airport, another vehicle from Egypt Exclusivo will be waiting for you, along with a driver and an official guide. The immediate destination of the transfer is the Temple of Isis at Philae. It is undoubtedly one of the ancient Egyptian monuments where magic is strongly present. This is not only because the goddess worshipped here was the patroness of this occult science, but also due to the successful combination of architecture and landscaping. Until the 20th century, the temple was located on the island of Philae. However, with the rise in the water level caused by the Aswan Dam, the complex was moved to another nearby island, Agilkia. The original landscape was reproduced, with the riverside vegetation and water embracing the complex, considered the last great work of that civilization.
After the guided visit, we will transfer you to the boat where you will begin the cruise the following day. It will be time for check-in to settle into your rooms, which will provide you with rest for this night and the two following nights. Lunch and dinner will also be served on board the boat, as you will enjoy full board during these days.
Meanwhile, the afternoon will be free in Aswan, offering a magnificent opportunity to explore this city where the influence of the Nubian people from the south is evident. The colorful houses in their villages are an attraction in themselves, as are their museums, Elephantine Island, and the Unfinished Obelisk, among other places you can visit between lunch and dinner.
The free time from the previous afternoon in Aswan can be extended into the morning of the fifth day, either to explore the city or enjoy the high-quality onboard services of the boat. Among these services is, of course, breakfast. The other option is no less interesting: a road excursion to Abu Simbel, which is optional.
If you choose the second option, we will take you in a comfortable vehicle to visit this impressive site, composed of two monuments from the time of Ramses II. This famous pharaoh had them built to showcase the strength of his reign to the southern Nubian neighbors and to elevate himself to the status of a god, as can be understood from the colossal statues on the facade. His favorite wife, Nefertari, also has a prominent presence in the adjacent temple. Both structures, by the way, had to be painstakingly relocated stone by stone to their current location, as the Aswan Dam and the resulting Lake Nasser would have otherwise submerged them forever.
Regardless of the chosen option, both proposals converge in the afternoon: after lunch on board, the cruise on the Nile River begins. This journey provides an exceptional perspective to explore this region known as Upper Egypt, with its fertile plains, green islands, vegetation-filled riverbanks, and tranquil waters.
While enjoying the views of the surroundings, the boat will make its first stop at Kom Ombo. Its two main attractions are on the same bank, namely the Ptolemaic temple and the Crocodile Museum. The temple is a magnificent sacred complex with preserved structures adorned spectacularly with reliefs. Many of these reliefs depict Sobek, one of the revered gods here, who symbolized fertility and was represented with crocodile characteristics, as crocodiles were abundant in ancient times. These factors led to the creation of the mentioned museum, which displays mummified crocodile specimens and numerous artifacts featuring this animal as the protagonist.
After the visit, you will return to the boat and continue the journey. Dinner will be served on board, followed by a restful night as the cruise reaches the river port of Edfu, approximately 60 km from Kom Ombo.
The morning of the sixth day begins with breakfast on board the cruise ship, followed by a visit to the Temple of Edfu, considered by many as the best-preserved temple in ancient Egypt. Its immense size is undeniable, making it the second-largest temple complex, surpassed only by the Karnak Temple. Dedicated to Horus, who is omnipresent in the temple in the form of a falcon, it houses impressive spaces and elements, such as its grand entrance pylons.
Upon returning to the boat, there will be time for lunch and to continue downstream, which will require crossing the famous Esna Lock. Shortly after, you will reach the next destination where you will spend the night: Luxor. Before that, there will be time to explore the two major monuments in the city: the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple (or temples). It is important to note that this city was built on the site of ancient Thebes, the capital of ancient Egypt for many centuries. Due to its historical significance and being the seat of the powerful Amun-Ra clergy, there are numerous points of interest, collectively designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Both temples were once connected by an imposing avenue of sphinxes spanning over 2.5 km. Within both temples, you will find spectacular hypostyle halls, historic obelisks, entrance pylons, and open courtyards. However, as mentioned earlier, Karnak is larger and also encompasses smaller temples within its complex.
After this tour along the eastern bank of the Nile River, it will be time to have dinner on board and rest for the night while the boat remains docked at the Luxor port.
The attractions of Luxor are not only found on the east bank. On the contrary, some of the most fascinating ones are on the west bank, and we will take you to discover them on the morning of the seventh day of this circuit through Egypt. By the way, the Red Sea will be waiting for your arrival at the end of the day.
After breakfast on board, you will enjoy a tour along the bank where the sun sets, a fact of great religious significance in ancient Egyptian civilization. For this reason, the monarchs of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties chose the Valley of the Kings as their necropolis. We will visit the most representative and spectacular tombs, where colorful murals and sarcophagi that once contained royal mummies are still preserved. The Colossi of Memnon and the funerary temple of the queen-pharaoh Hatshepsut are other stops on this route.
After a morning filled with cultural visits, we will return to the boat to check out and continue with the program of this circuit through Egypt, with the Red Sea now in sight. We will travel by road in a comfortable private vehicle with a chauffeur and air conditioning, arriving in the city of Hurghada at the end of the day. We will drop you off at the all-inclusive beachfront resort hotel where you will be staying, allowing you to enjoy dinner before resting in your rooms.
If you have chosen this circuit through Egypt and the Red Sea, one of the most anticipated moments of the trip has arrived: free days at the beachfront resort. You can choose to relax by the hotel’s facilities or in the crystal-clear waters of Hurghada, where you can also enjoy diving and snorkeling at any level. The full board package will cover your breakfast, lunch, and dinner, allowing you to fully enjoy your day.
The second completely free day of this circuit through Egypt and the Red Sea, which you can plan as you did on the previous day or complement with, for example, a stroll through the city. Among the main attractions in Hurghada are its aquariums, the Al Mina Mosque, and its luxurious port. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are once again included in the resort hotel package.
After 9 days of the circuit through Egypt, the Red Sea, and the Nile, it’s time to bid farewell to the country. On this tenth day, which also includes breakfast at the resort hotel, we will take you to the Hurghada airport in our private vehicle with a chauffeur. From there, you will board the flight to Cairo, which is included in the package and will serve as your connection to your international flight back home.
Only the farewell at the terminal will remain, with your suitcases filled with new experiences and memories. And of course, with the hope of a new reunion, whether it’s for another circuit through Egypt and the Red Sea or a completely different and customizable package.
